Wow. I’ve never seen anything like it. Even in Oregon where it rained 24/7 (well is sure seemed like it) we never had that much water. How close is that to you?
yes this is all around us. not high like that in our neighborhood, but all the streets around us flood. we live near a reservoir and canal. I’m surprised we haven’t seen more flooding.
no, les we are not staying dry. it’s too hot here to close up the house to keep out the humidity, no aircon to keep us cool. everything is wet and getting moldy. of course it’s about 79 out now, feels like winter for all we’re used to. I say you people who really like your heat have no idea what it’s like to have no escape, to have to shower 3 times a day because your clothes are soaked through with sweat, just from bumming around the house.
Horrid? C’mon Bean. You sound like my little sister who said she’d never go another mission trip to Mexico because the kids smelled funny.
I guess you just get used to it. Sometimes it takes a newcomer to remind me that the streets are full of beggars and trash. But I never really was shocked by all that.

That right there is what you call a lot of water. How are you guys doing? Staying dry? Staying sane?

It’s been in the low 60′s for highs and upper 40′s for lows….AND IT’S AUGUST! Yeah! No sweat…no stink…just cool rain.
When I was in Manila I arrived just after a major rain storm…the water was still finding a way out…the smell was horrid.
